speedp TwinMOS Speed Premium PC3200 Review

Twinmos has been keeping a low profile for some time while names like OCZ and Geskill are growing. Today we take a look at Twinmos latest memory: Speed Premium PC3200 DC Kit.

Introduction

TwinMOS has been keeping a low profile for some time while names
like OCZ, Geskill, AData are growing in the overclockers’ arena with their
highly overclockable memories. If you remember, we have previously tested the
Speed Premium
PC3200
memory when TwinMOS launched it back in August last year. However,
TwinMOS was using other types of memory chips on their Speed Premium that only
allows us to reach DDR480 at CAS 2.5T. This time round, TwinMOS has fitted new
memory chips on their latest Speed Premium PC3200 DC Kit and we are about to
find out the underlying gem on this memory.

Take note of the two dimples on the ram chips itself. The ram
chips are labeled TwinMOS. From reading the feedback of some of the users, the
2 dimples denote quality ram chips that are pretty overclockable.

Notice the TwinMOS Speed Premium PC3200
memory chips share a lot of similarities to Winbond BH-4 with the 2 dimples and
a small dimple at the bottom right hand corner. Winbond BH-5 was known to be a
great overclockable under high voltages so let’s see if the TwinMOS Speed
Premium PC3200 DC Kit will live up to its name.
