Tyan launched the Transport GS12 (B5103G12), a highly-flexible sub-1U rackmount server that fits most any application required by customers. With a front LCD system status display and easily-accessible six-button keypad, dual-port front USB access, the ability to support two (2) internal 3.5″ Serial ATA or IDE drives, SATA RAID levels 0, 1 support, a 300W power supply with PFC, and a triple-path cooling system, all offering capabilities of a full server box in a small sub-1U form factor at an incredible depth of 15.3″. System-level features include support for up to 4GB of Unbuffered DDR400 (PC3200) memory with ECC/non-ECC support, integrated ATI® RAGE XL™ 8MB video, a single 32-bit PCI rear expansion slot, integrated CSA and PCI-based (dual) Gigabit Ethernet ports with ASF 2.0 support, “smart” fan control, plus substantial support for a wide range of Network OS’ including Windows 2000/XP/2003, Red Hat 9.0, SuSE 8.1, and FreeBSD 4.6.2. The Transport GS12 (B5103G12) is now sampling worldwide and will reach mass production in August of this year.
