VIA Technologies has announced the compact M’SERV S2100, targeting home users and small enterprises.

Measuring 135 x 120 x 260mm, the stylish looking server is powered by a
1.3+GHz VIA Nano processor with DDR2 memory slots and features two SATA
bays (capable of supporting two SATA HDDs of up to 2TB each), a type I
Compact Flash socket and two Gigabit Ethernet and three USB 2.0 ports
for external connectivity. The M’SERV S2100 is fully compatible with
Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7 (x86 & x64), Server 2008 Foundation,
Ubuntu, SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 (Service Pack 2) and FreeBSD.
Pricing has not been announced yet but it is available to OEMs
customers now.

essential server applications for small business and home office
users,” said Jerry Yuan, VIA Embedded Business Development Manager.
“The VIA Nano processor brings with it an advanced set of features that
makes the VIA M’SERV S2100 an exceptionally compelling mini-server
product”.
