According to Windows information site WinBeta, the release candidate for Visual Studio 2013 has leaked online.
Microsoft is allegedly set to unveil the release candidate version of Visual Studio 2013. Sources within the organization have confirmed to ZDNet that the RC build has been rolled out internally within Microsoft, and has been seeded to select third-party developers for testing.
While Microsoft gets ready to launch the RC build, it looks like the build has already found its way online. WinBeta mentioned yesterday that the Visual Studio 2013 RC1 build leaked and is available to download from file-sharing sites. It cites the build number as 12.0.20824.1. The website also states that a Russian leaker by the name Wzor, who was credited with leaking the RTM build of Windows 8.1, is the one behind the leak.
Visual Studio 2013 Preview was announced back in June, and came with better application life-cycle management. Also included was built-in support for Git, a cloud-based load testing feature, and a dashboard that showed unit test failure information. The code editor now features asynchronous debugging.
The final version of Visual Studio 2013 will most likely be available sometime during October, just as Windows 8.1 hits general availability.
