A brand new Android phone known as the Vivo Xplay was just announced. It sports a large 5.7" 1080p display, quad core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB storage, 13mp camera, and a large 3400mAh battery.
The Android world is starting to develop a sizable market for smartphones with large displays and strong specs to power them. Today, another entrant in this category has emerged and that device is known as the Vivo Xplay.
Just as you'd expect from a high-end Android device in 2013, this phone is packing quite a bit. The list is as follows:
- Snapdragon S600 quad core processor
- 5.7" 1080p display
- 2GB RAM
- 16/32GB Storage
- 13 megapixel rear facing camera
- 5 megapixel front facing camera
- 3400mAh battery
- Extra audio chip for additional sound performance
The device will launch with Android version 4.2. It will include it's on software skin on top including a feature they are emphasizing known called 'Free Touch' which will help improve one handed use of the handset. The black and white version of this phone is available for pre-order in China for ¥2,998 which is just below $490. This is for the 16GB version and it is slated to launch in the second half of May. No official word on the 32GB version as of now.
