WD, the world's leader in storage solutions, has unveiled the SiliconEdge Blue SSD series.

WD Announces New SSD

Available in capacities of 64Gb, 128Gb and 256Gb, the 2.5” SSD measures 98.9 x 69.86 x 9.5mm and features a SATA II interface, MLC NAND flash memory, TRIM command, NCQ support and a MTBF of 1,400,000 hours. They are able to achieve data transfer rates up to 250MB/second read and 170MB/second write, and can be purchased from authorized resellers and e-tailers at a MSRP of USD 279 (64Gb), USD 529 (128Gb) and USD 999 (256Gb).
