Where have we seen this before? Actwell i6000 could be the world’s first 6.5 inch 1080p phablet with a stylus
Chinese OEM Actwell might release a new phablet, which will end up holding the title of the world's first 6.5 inch plablet with a 1080p display.
Actwell is one ambitious Chinese OEM which is hard at work on their yet-to-be-launched phablet, which could potentially become the world's first 6.5 inch phablet donning a 1080p (Full HD) display. The Actwell i6000 packs a powerful quad core chipset under the hood. Its design is heavily inspired by Samsung's Galaxy Note series, down to the S-Pen capacitive stylus as well. We couldn't help but notice the striking similarities with the Note 2 (front side) and HTC One X (back side). Thankfully, it does come out as borderline good looking. It does manage to squeeze all its bells and whistles into a relatively slim 9.5 mm profile.
Actwell i6000 Specifications:
- Mediatek MT6589 Chipset
- 1.2 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A7 CPU
- PowerVR SGX544 GPU
- 6.5 Inch 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) Display
- 13 MP Rear Camera
- 9.5 mm Thickness
A 6.5 inch phablet is positioned right below a 7 inch display (and size) tablet. Those who want a device to make voice calls, and are considering buying a GSM/3G capable tablet for the same, should consider devices like these instead. Granted it will still look ridiculous to see a person holding a tablet-sized device against their cheeks and talk into it, but it all boils down to personal choice.
No word on pricing or availablily of the i6000 as of now.
