Meizu might be about to launch a white edition of the MX 2. This leaked image from Russia shows an alleged white variant of the MX 2 next to the original black version that was launched in January.
The MX 2 is Meizu’s current flagship, and has been available since January. For those needing a refresher, the MX 2 comes with a 4.4-inch screen with a resolution of 1280X800, Samsung’s MX5S SoC that contains a 1.6 GHz quad-core Cortex-A9 CPU along with 2GB of RAM, 8 MP camera and storage variations of 16/32/64 GB. A major feature of the MX 2 is its UI, which is called Flyme 2.0. It is essentially a heavily-customized Android 4.1 Jelly Bean that offers a lot of tweaks and enhancements.
While no further details are known about the white edition of the MX 2, from the images it looks like it will just be a different colour variant rather than one that features any kind of new internal hardware.
Already, rumours are beginning to circulate about the Meizu MX 3, code-named “Blue Charm”, and it looks like Meizu is looking to re-invigorate interest in the MX 2 till the time the MX 3 launches.
