wii u xl Wii U priced at 250 pounds?

Japanese business newspaper Nikkei recently claimed that the Wii U would run for about 30,000 yen (~£250).

There are no official words from Nintendo on how much the Wii U will cost, and it doesn't help that various sources also report different pricings for Nintendo’s next console.

Amazon initially reported that the Wii U was £199, but had to remove the listing as well as all pre-orders because that was not the supposed price.  The Amazon mistake came at the expense of the people that pre-ordered the Wii U.

The unfortunate news for Wii buyers continue as various sources have reported that the Wii U will be about £50 more than the initial Amazon listing.

Japanese business newspaper Nikkei recently claimed that the Wii U would run for about 30,000 yen (~£250).   In a separate report from MCV UK, an unnamed senior publisher was quoted as saying the Wii U “will definitely be less than £249.”

So how much will the Wii U cost?  Until there’s an official announcement from Nintendo, we can only speculate that the console will in the range of £199 to £250—which seems like a fair estimate.
