The long awaited Microsoft Windows 7 operating system has just become officially available tonight here in Singapore. If you have followed the Windows 7 promotion announced last week, you could have been one of the 177 person to purchase the Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade for just S$77 tonight.
There is a long queue of enthusiastic folks waiting to buy the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade at S$77. Fromk what we have gathered, the Challenger store would also open till 2am in the morning with various offers and promotions for its customers.
22-year old Samuel Ng is first in line and he started queueing since 3.30pm in the afternoon.
Samuel and his girlfriend were given a fanciful T-shirt each that says ”I Got My Windows 7 before you!”
Samuel is the first to purchase a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium presented by Haresh Khoobchandani (left), Senior Director, Business & Marketing Organisation; (from right) Ben Tan, Regional Director, Southeast-Asia and Korea, Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices, and Loo Leong Thye, Chief Executive of Challenger Technologies Ltd.
