World Cyber Games Grand Finals, the world’s largest PC and Console gaming
event has finally come to an end on November 20th after 4 days of exciting
competitions where gamers around the world battled out for the glory of “Best
Gamer” title. This major event was held at Suntec Convention Centre Singapore
where some 700 gamers from 67 countries have gathered and has attracted more
than 39,000 spectators. Just one month before WCG Grand Finals, we saw
Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) World Tour taking place in Singapore.
Truly, Singapore is starting to become one of the Asia’s hot spots for major
gaming competitions to take place.
To make all these possible, the biggest sponsor is none other than Samsung
Electronics and two premier sponsors; Intel and Razer. Not forgetting, we have
ASUS, the worldwide motherboard leader as the official sponsor powering
the 600 WCG gaming systems with
EAX800/TD graphics cards based on ATi Radeon X800 VPU and
P5LD2-VM motherboards based on Intel 945G chipset. Other hardware sponsors
include Kingston for the memories, Coolermaster
for the casings and Seagate for the hard disks.
Over at ASUS booth, there are some impressive live demos running off the
EN7800GTX and EN7800GT DUAL graphics cards as well as the A8N32-SLI Deluxe
motherboards to let gamers experience the smoothest frame rates out of the
latest games out there.
First, we have our VR-Zone SLI Rig of the Month on displayed and is powered by

phase change cooling system.
The other system on display is a full ASUS gaming rig comprises of A8N32-SLI

well as the EAX800 Silencer graphics card on display.
Apart from components display at the booth, there are also a couple of
notebooks as well. ASUS, a famous notebook vender worldwide is renowned for
producing the lightest & slimmest notebooks; one such model on display is
is equipped with a built-in 1.3 mega-pixel 180۫ swivel webcam which makes it a
great tool for video-conferencing purposes.
There was a lucky dip if you managed to fill up a simple
questionnaire and you could stand a chance to win a EN7800GTX/2HDTV/256M
graphics card as the first prize, EN6600GT Silencer/2DTV/256M graphics card as
the second and P5LD2 Deluxe motherboard as the third prize.
The ASUS fan boys were overjoyed when they won the P5LD2 Deluxe
motherboard and got their faces and hands tattooed with ASUS logos!
