World’s cheapest quad-core, GooPhone X1, to cost just $81 or 499 Yuan
GooPhone X1 is all set to be the world’s cheapest quad-core Smartphone when it goes on sale in China for 499 Yuan, translating to just $81.
Chinese phone maker GooPhone is not content with making low-cost phones, they want to give more to the consumers (power to the consumers, hell yeah!). GooPhone is all set to introduce to the world the cheapest quad-core Android Smartphone till date. Say hello to the GooPhone X1, to go on sale in China soon for just 499 Yuan, that’s an ultra-cheap $81.
GooPhone X1 specifications:
- 1.2 GHz MediaTek MT6589 Chipset
- 512 MB RAM
- 4.7-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) Display
- 2 MP Rear, 1.3 MP Front Cam
- Dual SIM Support
- 1800 mAh Battery
- Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean
We have to warn you that the $81 price tag is just for local dealers. Those who want to purchase one of these cheap babies off-contract will have to shell out 593 Yuan (or about $97). Even then, the phone costs under $100 and will still hold the ‘world’s cheapest quad-core’ title.
At present, there is no word on an International release, but boy do we wish it launches in our country (as you’d wish it came to yours). Thankfully, the phone can be ordered via many online resellers, but at the cost of a slight premium.
