A very lucky guy (or gal) just got himself an Xbox ‘Durango’ software development kit (SDK) on eBay for USD $20,100.  Okay, in all honesty, whoever bought the supposed 720 SDK may have been scammed out of a lot of money.

A very lucky guy (or gal) just got himself an Xbox ‘Durango’ software development kit (SDK) on eBay for USD $20,100.  Okay, in all honesty, whoever bought the supposed 720 SDK may have been scammed out of a lot of money.

The eBay listing itself was very undetailed, as the seller only mentioned that he “expects people who know what it is to buy it…otherwise you have no reason to bid.”

As for what the seller will do with the money, he said, “All proceeds go to charity… and by charity, I mean my new car.”

The supposed Durango SDK looks like any other ordinary tower PC, and the components inside may be just as ordinary.  Common components found in standard gaming rigs could be lying underneath the ordinary looking shell; an Ivy Bridge CPU, a NVIDIA graphics card, a healthy amount of RAM, and a 64-bit OS.

How legit is the SDK?  Who knows, but as of this moment we won’t know until the buyer makes public his $20,100 investment.  We’re in the process of tracking down the buyer and will update as soon as there are more details.
