XCOM: Enemy Unknown Gets Release Date
2K Games today announced the release date for their highly-anticipated game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
Today, 2K Games finally announced the release date for their highly-anticipated game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown. The game will be available in the United States on October 9th for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3, with an international release on October 12th.
Those who pre-order the game will receive access to the “Elite Soldier Pack,” which includes aesthetic upgrades for your soldiers’ armor in-game, with new armor styles and full color customization, as well as a unique soldier model that pays homage to the original game. If you played the original game, you will remember a particular soldier with a cheesy, ‘90s-era blonde flat-top haircut. The unique soldier is modeled to look like this iconic character from the original game.
PC gamers will also get the Special Edition of the game (sorry console gamers, it’s a PC exclusive). The Special Edition will include a poster of the XCOM headquarters, an XCOM insignia patch, an art book, a digital copy of the soundtrack, digital copies of the game’s art, and more.
The Special Edition will retail for $59.99, along with the console versions of the game, while the standard copy for the PC will retail at $49.99.
