Expreview have leaked good quality pictures of the XFX variant of Nvidia's upcoming Geforce GTX 400 series cards, as well as the previously seen boxes.

Not surprisingly, the Geforce GTX 480 seems like a pretty hefty card with four thick heatpipes sticking out at the top. The length is expected to be 10.5", which is very reasonable and in fact just short of the HD 5870, despite consuming about 100W more. There's no doubt Nvidia have packed in a high performance heatsink. An interesting pattern seems to decorate the shard above the cooler. There might be a practical use to it, as the protrusions effectively increase surface area - which leads to increased cooling - though this hasn't been seen on the surface of the card.

The GTX 470 looks much more undramatic and fairly similar to the GTX 200 series cards.

You can find final specifications and pricing of the GTX 470 and GTX 480 cards in our recent article here.

Pictures can be seen at Expreview.
