The long rumored budget Xiaomi Red Rice Smartphone finally confirms its internal specifications. A couple of leaked AnTuTu screenshots reveal that the $160 Smartphone packs a powerful 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6589T quad-core chipset. Honestly, it’s not everyday that you see a $160 phone pack such powerful specifications do you.

The 999 Yuan price carrying Xiaomi Red Rice scored an impressive 14,073 on AnTuTu. While this score couldn’t possibly beat any of the Snapdragon 600 and the new Snapdragon 800 powered devices, the score is simply superb for a device of this price range.
Complete specifications of the phone are not known so far, but GizChina reports that Xiaomi might actually launch the phone later today. If that’s the case, then we won’t have to wait much longer to check out the Xiaomi’s first low-cost offering.
