Indian budget handset manufacturer XOLO has introduced a new device called the Q1000S. The mobile comes with a 5-inch screen and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Xolo,owned by Lava Mobiles, is known for making affordable Android smartphones. It was the first to launch a device featuring Intel’s Z2460 Atom processor. The brand has also launched the first Tegra 3 device in India this year.
The Xolo Q1000S will be the new flagship in the Q series, and comes with a 5-inch screen with a 720p resolution (1280X720). The IPS display features one-glass solution (OGS) technology and has a pixel density of 295 PPI. At a thickness of just 6.98 mm, the Q1000S is sleek. The device comes with a MediaTek MT6589T SoC, which has a 1.5 GHz quad-core CPU and a PowerVR SGX544 GPU.
Xolo’s Q1000S comes with a 13-megapixel camera at the back that has auto-focus and a BSI 2 sensor for taking images in low-light conditions. The camera features HDR, image stabilization and can record videos in full-HD at 30 fps. The front 5-megapixel camera also comes with a BSI 2 sensor. The device comes with 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, comes with a 2,500 mAh battery and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The Q1000S is available in the Indian market for around $300 (INR 18,999).
