Xperia acro HD SO-03D to retail in Japan on 15 March

The new Xperia acro HD SO-03D is scheduled to retail in Japan on 15 March next month, with pre-orders starting on 2 March.

NTT DoCoMo has announced the pre-order of the Xperia acro HD SO-03D will commence from 2 March, while the sales date is on 15 March. The Xperia acro HD SO-03D is one of the latest model in DoCoMo series of smartphone, designed with characteristic features to suit the Japan market. It has similar specifications to the Xperia NX SO-02D, features mobile wallet, infrared, is waterproof and weighs 149g.

With a two-year contract, the Xperia acro HD SO-03D will cost around 30,000 yen (approximately US$370) if you factor in discounts for monthly subscription. Note that you can probably get more discount from the Spring Special Smart Phone Campaign that runs until 31 March, whereby the price for the phone could go to the region of 20,000 yen (approximately US$250) for two-year contract.
