Yahoo debuted a new weather app for iOS in April, which was so good that Apple gave it a design award at this year’s WWDC. Yahoo has announced today that its new weather app is available for Android devices.
The app uses public images taken from Flickr, and they change based on a user’s location, as well as the weather conditions. The app includes a 10-day weather forecast, along with hour-by-hour predictions, chance of precipitation, wind and pressure, moon phases, UV patterns, sunrise and sunset times, all in a gorgeous interface. You also get widgets that you can use on the home or lock screens, along with a notification in the status bar that shows the current weather information.
Users who log in will be able to sync and access their location across devices, and Yahoo will provide severe weather alerts to signed-in users.
Yahoo Weather is free, and is available across the globe. Get it from here.
