ZiiLABS has a rather interesting display over at COMPUTEX where they have demonstrated working protoypes of their JAGUAR reference tablets running off Android 3.0 Honeycomb. There are two sizes, 7-inch and 10-inch with both having the same ZMS-20 CPU and motherboard but different set of IO. The ZMS-20 features dual 1.5GHz ARM Cortex-A9 MPCores and 48 media processing cores. The ZiiLABS team is still working hard on making the platform runs flawlessly and optimally on the Android platform for about 3 weeks now and has achieved pretty good success so far. It is also a relief to see that the 1080p movies are playing flawlessly on both the 7" and 10" JAGUAR tablets. Not forgeting, these JAGUAR tablets is upgradable to a more powerful ZMS-40 chip based on quad ARM-Cortex-A9. Lastly, we heard at least one major taiwanese manufacturers has adopted this design for tablet line-up later part of the year and we certainly look forward to more interesting offerings in the tablet market.

These JAGUAR tablets actually looks and feels pretty good and slim too. Much closer to competition than before so ZiiLABS might have a chance in the tablet market.
