Looking at playiing High-Definition content yet not willing to shell out a big sum of money for a good graphics accelerator? Nvidia has just the answer for you right now, the Geforce 8400GS! the Geforce 8400GS is exactly the same in specifications at the Geforce 8500GT, except for a stripped down memory bus from 128bit to 64 bit. Nvidia Purevideo acceleration technology like bit stream processing and VP2 that is present on the 8500GT can also be found on the 8400GS, as they are essentially based on the same G86 graphics processing core. Even the core clock, shader clock and memory clocks are the same, except that memory bandwidth is halved, from 12.8GB/s to 6.4GB/s.

A quick look at the specifications before we continue with the pictures.
