Intel’s road to mobile domination won’t be easy, but perhaps its partnership with ZTE may bring about some fruitful results.  ZTE recently unveiled the “Geek” Android smartphone which features Intel’s highly touted Clover Trail+ clocked at 2.0GHz.

The device is nothing extraordinary in terms of components outside of the 32nm Atom processor that hums under the hood.  Dubiously called Geek, the 5-inch smartphone sports a 1280×720 resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear camera (1MP front), and a 2300mAh battery.

Intel claims that the Clover Trail+ Atom chip is twice as fast as the previous solution and delivers three times the graphical performance while being much more energy efficient.  Price and availability of the ZTE Geek is not currently available, but most likely the phone will be mid-tier in pricing and available to mainly emerging markets.
