DFI Goes After Imitations; Buyers Beware

DFI issued a warning earlier this week about
imitation of their
motherboards in Indonesia. Ironically, DFI doesn't even carry those imitated
models; MCP78V and MCP68PV. We learned that an Indonesian company by the name of
TIGA is said to be distributing these imitations using DFI branding and the OEM
maker of these boards is J&W from China. DFI has already contacted the alleged
party to cease and desist the act and have commissioned the legal department to
take action to stop the authorized behavior.

(sorry this forum host at Indonesia, so maybe if you try access it from outside Indonesia it's very slow, yeah in Internet map Indonesia is marked same with Sahara beside the bandwidth problem of course you must understand Indonesian to read it).
The representatives also say that this fake product distribute in Indonesia by old DFI distributor (not Official DFI distributor anymore).
From the discussion at the forum one member make say that the Fake DFI is relabel from JW motherboard product. So the DFI distributor (in Indonesia and Philipines) asking JW for confirmation

Until now there's no official statement from the old DFI distributor. I have email them too about this problem.

Hi I am Indonesian that follow this case update. This case beginning from one new DFI distributor in Indonesia (DPJ) know that there some Fake DFI Motherboard in the market.The representatives than make a thread at :
