Sony: No Plans for PS3 Price Cut, PS2 To Retail At 99.99 Tomorrow

It seems like Sony is pretty persistent in their Playstation3 price tag while on the other hand, the Playstation2 will be officially retailing at USD99.99 stateside as according to Joystiq. Read on to find out more.

It seems like Sony is pretty persistentin their Playstation3 price tag while on the other hand, the Playstation2 will be officially retailing at USD99.99 stateside as according to Joystiq.

In a statement by Sony Public Relations Manager, Al De Leon:

"As we have stated previously, we do not have plans for a PS3 price drop, and any rumors to that effect are false and are the result of speculation,"

Rumors squashed however, the US Playstation blog have confirmed of a price cut of the Playstation 2 which will drop its price from USD129 to USD99.99 on 1st April, an official milestone in Playstation2 history as it enters the 9th year on sales in the States
