Asus Launches Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Asus launched the ultra-slim and light Transformer Prime in Singapore at a mere 8.3mm thin and weighing only 586g. The Transfomer Prime is one of the most unique tablets available on the market today and priced at on SGD 899. The Transformer as it is called can transform from your traditional tablet based to a clamshell design with a real keyboard. The dock functions not only as a keyboard but an additional power source to keep you computing all day and night for a whopping 18 hours of up-time.

The Transformer Prime uses nVidia's latest Quad Core processor, the Tegra 3, deliver processing power beyond imagination. Imagine dazzling rendered gaming effects and smooth 1080p HD video playback.

Built tough to withstand the rigours of on-the-road computing, Transformer Prime has a metallic spun finish, Gorilla glass from Corning and the tough glass screen doesn't sacrifice the display's brilliance. The display is a Super IPS+ (In-Plane Switching) panel featureing 178-degree viewing angle so you can easily share and use it for client presentations or sharing the screen with a friend as you watch a high definition movie.
