Palm Treo 500v Smartphone Available @ M1 Shops

Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) and MobileOne (M1) today announced the new Palm® TreoTM 500v smartphone on the MobileOne network in Singapore. The new smartphone combines multiple forms of communication and multimedia capabilities with high-speed 3G/UMTS mobile Internet capabilities, allowing users to access popular websites, such as Facebook, Windows Mobile Live Spaces and eBay, whilst on the move.(1) The Treo 500v, with the new and exclusive Vodafone user interface on Windows Mobile® 6 Standard edition -- a first in Asia -- delivers unparalleled usability and ease of navigation to customers who want to keep on top of their work and social lives while on the go.

The Treo 500v smartphone boasts a new sleek design that is perfect for those who want good looks and style in their smartphone experience. It has a full keyboard, large screen, audio- and video-streaming capabilities, comprehensive multimessaging functionality (Instant Messaging, SMS and email), phone and personal-information-management software in a new design.(1)

Pricing and Availability

The Palm Treo 500v smartphone is available now from M1 shops and selected M1 dealers for S$498 (on a two-year plan, inclusive of GST).

For a limited period, customers also will receive 6 months of free subscription to M1’s 3G SunSurf 10 Plan/VAS (Value Added Service) which is bundled with 5MB of free local data monthly and valued at S$10.70 per month. SunSurf 10 provides M1 customers access to wireless Internet connectivity at 3G speeds in Singapore, and allows them to log on to MiWorld Mobile to download tunes, music videos and be informed of the latest soccer news while on the go.

The Treo 500v also will be available from major retail outlets in Singapore.
