IBM says it is developing new circuitry that could triple the data stored on a typical microprocessor, and thereby double the performance of computers. The computer maker's approach is based on exploiting the most widely used memory technology in a new way. IBM researchers will discuss their progress at a conference in San Francisco on Wednesday.
