7 September 2007 - Using second-generation perpendicular recording technology and available in capacities of 450GB, 300GB, and 147GB, the new Cheetah 15K.6 provides an unprecedented blend of storage capacity and performance. The Cheetah 15K.6 lowers idle and operational power requirements from its prior generation -- as much as 61% in watts/GB -- while increasing overall sustained data transfer rates by 28% at 164MB/sec. The Cheetah 15K.6 is scheduled to begin shipping worldwide in Q1 2008.

SanDisk today launched the SanDisk Multi Card ExpressCard(TM) Adapter,
offering fast transfer speeds from memory cards to notebook computers without
the need to carry cables or external card readers.
The new adapter fits into the ExpressCard slot now found in most new notebook
computers, and accepts six card formats: SD, SDHC, MMC, MMCplus, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo and Memory Stick
PRO-HG Duo.
The SanDisk Multi Card ExpressCard Adapter is expected to available in North
America and Europe in September, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of
$29.99 in the United States.

Toshiba today announced the launch of nine new 2.5-inch HDD that employ the company's latest advances in HDD technology. The
new drives include the MK3252GSX, which achieves an industry-leading*1 capacity
of 320GB, and the MK2049GSY, which improves performance with a 7,200rpm
rotational speed. Toshiba will mass produce the drives in turn, starting from
November.

Kingston Technology today
announced it is increasing the write speed of its popular line of CompactFlash
Ultimate memory cards to 266X – twice the minimum sustained write speed
previously available in the Ultimate line. Kingston CF Ultimate cards will also
have an added feature of free MediaRECOVER data recovery software that serves as
a recovery tool to help restore lost, deleted or corrupted image files.
