Apple Launches iPad touchscreen tablet
Apple's CEO Steve Jobs took stage this morning and unveiled the new touchscreen multimedia tablet. No, its not the iSlate or iTablet, but its dubbed the iPad. The 9.7-inch tablet lets you surf the web, do emails, play photos, videos and music, games and even read e-books. From US$499, the iPad is simply a larger version of their iPhone as it is running iPhone OS.
(And yes, some folks have been making fun of its name using comparisons to the sanitary ones. You know who you are.)

Publisher leaks Apple tablet details
According to web sources, publisher McGraw-Hill was reportedly saying Apple will be unveiling their new Tablet at their event in San Francisco on 27th Jan (tomorrow morning Singapore time). It seems that the publisher has been working with Apple on a tablet for some time.

According to Fox News, Apple will be unveiling their new tablet as well as iLife 2010 and iPhone OS at next week's invitation-only event in San Francisco. However, such claims would still be speculations until Steve Jobs stand on stage on 27th January.

(Singapore) Starhub to offer Apple iPhone to customers
Starhub, one of the three telecommunication service providers in Singapore, will be offering Apple iPhone to their customers. SingTel has been the sole provider for iPhones since August 2008, though just last month, rival Mobile One (M1) has announced they would be selling the mobile device as well. No pricing and availability details have been released yet from Starhub. But the good news means all mobile users in Singapore can own an iPhone without the hassle to switch to another service provider.
