Koichi Futatsumata, a Japanese designer and founder of Case-Real studio, was commissioned by electronics manufacturer EK Japan Co., Ltd. (Fukuoka, Japan) to design an amplifier that will appeal to a younger age bracket. After months at the drawing board, Futatsumata created the Elekit Tube Amp, a vacuum tube hybrid stereo amplifier. Featuring two front-mounted aluminum dials, a low 10 x 10 watt output, tone control stage, typical input and output jacks, the simple and elegant Elekit Tube Amp will no doubt attract many audio enthusiasts.

MP3 Player Volume Restrictions On The Way



MP3 players are among the most popular consumer electronics products on the market today as almost every person you see on the streets or trains will be listening to one. Users who enjoy their music at an ear-shredding 125 decibels will be disappointed to learn that the European Union will be rolling out new legislation to cut the default maximum volume on MP3 players to no louder than 80 decibels by the end of the year. Samsung YP-M1 MP3 player is officially available in Korea; soon to be available worldwide

Today, Samsung Korea officially announced the availability of their new YP-M1 MP3 player which sports a 3.3-inch AMOLED display and powered by Nvidia Tegra processor. This literally means that it will run your HD videos (MPEG-4, Xvid, H.264, WMV etc) seamlessly. The YP-M1 comes in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB internal memory; the 8GB version retails at 299,000 Korean won  (approximately US$250).
