Today, Canon announced their new EOS-1D Mark IV digital SLR camera designed for photojournalists, sports and events photographers. In Singapore, the manufacturer held an event and treated the local media a hands-on of the new product.

 

Canon has just introduced the next evolution in the EOS 1D series of cameras: the Canon EOS-1D Mark IV Digital SLR camera.

The Mark IV sports a 16-megapixel Canon CMOS APS-H sensor, dual DIGIC 4 image processors, 14-bit A/D data conversion, ISO range (expanded) from 50 to 102,400, and an all-new 45-point AF sensor with 39 cross points and revised AF tracking, paired with a continuous high-speed shooting rate of 10 frames per second. And of course, HD video recording is in this camera.

Canon Singapore unveiled their latest digital imaging products at Capella in Sentosa this afternoon including the LEGRIA HF S11 video camcorder, touchscreen IXUS 200 IS, features-full PowerShot S90 digital camera, and the professional EOS 7D digital SLR cameras.

It was just few days ago when the pics and specifications of the Canon EOS 7D digital SLR camera were leaked on a Chinese forum. However, it seems that the product has become official as per today from the manufacturer's website. Check out the press release on this mid-range digital SLR.

Canon has recently announced their first hybrid image stabilizer that can compensate for both angle camera shake and shift camera shake. According to Canon Japan website, a new firmware for their popular 5D Mark II digital SLR will soon be available in June. The firmware claims to add the capability for the camera to shoot video on manual exposure (if the Google translation from Jap to Eng is accurate).

Canon has unveiled the new addition to their new line of SELPHY photo printer with the colourful CP780. Comes in red and silver, the CP780 features a 2.5-inch LCD display and boasts 10% increase in print speed and optional battery support.
