Creative has just announced a couple new pairs of headphones, the HN-900 and Aurvana X-Fi 2, both with active noise cancelling that promises reduced ambient noise by up to 85%. Both sets feature 40mm Neodymium magnet drivers that Creative says will give precise, crystal clear sound with a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20 kHz.
We received news from ZiiLABS, a subsidiary of Creative Technology Ltd that the company announced a "ground-breaking 100-core ZMS-40 StemCell Media Processor". After looking at the specs, some similarities appeared.
Almost three months ago back in September of 2011, Creative announced their Sound Core3D™ "quad core" chipset, and it has since featured in their latest gaming focused sound cards and headsets as well as on motherboards like the ASRock X79 Extreme9. We got the Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Professional PCIe sound card in our labs today to see if it pleases the audiophilles or the hardcore gamer groups.

We've already seen the Sound Blaster Recon3D and Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Professional, but it looks like Japan is getting an exclusive on no less than two additional models, the Sound Blaster Recon3D Professional Audio and the Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Champion edition. Both cards are of course based on the new Sound Core3D chip from Creative which the company was touting as a quad core audio processor a little while ago.

Creative Technology has announced the availability of their Sound Blaster Tactic3D Omega wireless gaming headset, designed to provide superb audio quality for an immersive gaming experience. The Tactic3D Omega wireless gaming headset is now available at the Creative online store, the CREATIVE Stores outlets and authorized retailers.
Media processor and platforms company ZiiLabs has unveiled the Jaguar3, its 3rd generation of reference designs for Android 3.2 tablets that incorporate over a decade of designing experience in portable mobile devices from Creative Technology. Based on a motherboard concept, the designs were first demonstrated at Computex 2011 in May this year, and were made possible for an OEM or ODM to bring Android 3.x tablets to market in the shortest possible time.
Once upon a time there were as many sound card makers as there were graphics card makers, but today only one of the old companies are still alive, good old Creative (what happened to the Labs bit on the end?) and today the company has announced its first quad core sound cards based on its recently announced Sound Core3D audio processor. This might sound like total overkill for a sound card, but it's not four identical cores, instead we're looking at very specific audio DSPs that have their own tasks to perform.
We can't say that we've been blown away by Creative's recent additions when it comes to media player, but the just announced Zen X-Fi3 is an interesting device that might not appeal to everyone with its tiny 2-inch screen and touch sensitive controls, but it seems like a step in the right direction compared to some of its past products. In fact, the Zen X-Fi3 seems to be the bigger brother of the Zen Style which launched back in May.
It is generally accepted that the only way to enjoy one's music at a reasonably high audio quality while on the move will be to invest in a decent set of headphones, as the drivers found in a pair of conventional earphones are usually too small to provide the kind of fidelity that most audiophiles will crave for. However, Creative is back to buck that trend with its new Aurvana In-Ear3 earphones, which the company claims are capable of providing both "precise sonic performance" and "excellent noise reduction" for critical listeners.
