DFI announced Hybrid platform that adopts the latest DFI patent technology. The DFI HB P45-ION-T2A2 board combines P45 + ICH10R with NVIDIA ION which operate completely independently. The first platform consists P45 + ICH10R chipset where you need to install an Intel processor, DDR2 memory and a graphics card. As for the second platform, it is NVIDIA ION based with an integrated Atom N230 processor where you only need to install SO-DIMM DDR2 memory. The two platforms have independent HDD system but sharing USB, 8-channel audio, SPDIF etc through the onboard KVM and LAN switch. SRP for end users is USD $399 and shipping date is 27th of November.

Clunk.org has news that DFI is preparing to launch the MI-P55-T36, the first mini-ITX based P55 board in the world. Measuring 170 x 170mm, the compact Core i5/i7 LGA 1156 board features 6 phase PWM (with Japanese made solid capacitors), 2x DDR3 slots for dual channel memory, 3x SATA II ports (for HDD/optical devices), a 16x PCI-e 2 slot (for graphic card), 7.1ch HD audio and a host of features supported by the P55 chipset.

DFI has announced a new fanless Mini-ITX motherboard - NP100-N16C. This motherboard utilizes a 45nm Intel® Atomâ„¢ N270 processor (1.6GHz clock, 533MHz system bus) with the Intel® 945GSE Express chipset and ICH7M I/O controller hub. Exhibiting a processor thermal design power (TDP) of just 2.5 watts, this value-optimized platform provides higher performance-per-watt than previous Intel x86 mobile platforms.

Last month, we provided you a glimpse of the DFI DK P55 board and now we will show you the LANPARTY UT P55 board which is packed with several new interesting features.

So what's so interesting about this board? At first look, you can see that it is fully on digital PWM and there is a slot for NAND flash. Also, DFI will be using Flame Freezer for the chipst cooling department as well. On closer examination, there is a mini USB port on the IO backpanel.

DFI is preparing a new P45 board that is touted to be pretty overclockable and best of all, very affordable too. DFI called it Blood Iron (BI) P45-T2RS Elite which is an update to the current P45-T2RS board with a revised PCB layout and a different LAN chip. It comes with one PCIe x16 slot and 3 PCIe x1 slots instead of 2 PCIe x16 slots and 2 PCIe x1 slots to reduce cost so you can't run Crossfire on this board now. It is said to be achieved FSB above 600MHz easily and mass production will start next week.

We have seen DFI adding an AM3 board based on 790FX chipset earlier this month and now they are going to release another AM3 board later next month. This neat little board is based on mATX form factor sporting a 4-layer black PCB. It uses 790GX chipset supporting 45nm AM3 Phenom II processors and DDR3 800/1066/1333 DIMMs. It has 4 DIMM slots up to 8GB of memories and has an additional 128MB DDR3 SidePort memory support.
