On Wednesday, Taiwanese tech community site XFastest ran a public event where it tested five similarly-priced mid-range socket LGA2011 motherboards for CPU VRM performance and stability. This comes at a particularly-important time for Gigabyte, when it's faced with CPU VRM problems that it's dealing with. The results are in.
Intel has been pushing its WiDi/Wireless Display video streaming over Wi-Fi technology for a while now, but the technology has to caveats, as not only does your notebook need to have one of a somewhat limited range of Intel Wi-Fi cards, but you also need to have a fairly costly receiver. ECS seems to have solved both of these problems at once with its Wi-Bridge which appears to do everything that WiDi does, just without the limitations.
Today we take a look at three different Llano boards through the entire range of the AMD Fusion Lynx platform. The Asus F1A75-V Pro, Gigabyte A75M-UD2H and ECS A55F-A are put under the microscope and through the tests to determine not only which comes out on top, but also which fits your needs best.

Here are the first pictures of ECS' top-of-the-line socket LGA2011 motherboard, the X79R-AX Black Series. This standard ATX form-factor motherboard crams in a ton of connectivity and features to tick all the boxes as far as Intel's next-generation HEDT (high-end desktop) platform goes. It's got room for 4-way SLI or CrossfireX, a strong-looking VRM, and connectivity galore.
Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), well-known for its motherboard products, has announced that all their motherboards will be using solid capacitors around the CPU region.

ECS is displaying the Black Series X79R-A at their Computex booth. They did not show specifications but all the features of the X79 chipset are quite obvious.
At this rate we won't have many AM3+ motherboards left to cover come Computex, as evidently close to every single board has already leaked ahead of the show. Today it's ECS' A990FXM-A that's turned up on a Thai forum and we're looking at a pretty high-end board, especially for ECS.

Although ECS didn't provide a picture with its announcement earlier today pertaining to its AMD socket FM1 boards, a picture of the A75F-A motherboard has now turned out via a German website. This is the first picture of a production AMD FM1 motherboard to appear and we can't say that we're entirely sold on ECS' design choices.
Although no pictures of a retail ready AMD socket FM1 has leaked as yet, we now have the first specifications of no less than three boards from ECS. The company will be displaying at least one ATX and two mATX at Computex which kicks off in two weeks' time and we have a feeling that ECS won't be the only company having boards on display.
