As one of the many companies to have recently pulled out of the hard drive business, Fujitsu hasn't made any real inroads into the SSD market, although this looks set to change with the introduction of a new series of SSD's in the retail market. For the time being it appears the new SSD's are only available in the APAC region and we don't have any details with regards to wider availability.

Although the Lifebook SH771 from Fujitsu was officially announced about a week ago, we've now got a quick hands on with the new Ultrabook competitor from Fujitsu. You might wonder why we're not calling it an Ultrabook, as although most of the specifications and even the weight puts it in the Ultrabook category, Fujitsu has kitted out its Lifebook SH771 with standard Voltage mobile CPUs, something you won't be seeing in the Ultrabooks.
With notebook manufacturers coming up with their line of thin and light portables, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific has recently launched their 13.3-inch LIFEBOOK SH771 which claims to be the thinnest and lightest LIFEBOOK yet, with 9.5 hours runtime on a standard battery.
In as much as Intel's Ultrabooks have their merits, we can't help but wonder why anyone would get over something like say, the new Fujitsu Lifebook SH76/E, as here we have an ultra-light 13.3-inch notebook with a full fat CPU and a 6-cell battery. It's not the only one of its kind either, as Toshiba has been offering a similar machine for quite some time now in the shape of its Portege R830 and older R730.

KDDI has announced the availability of its new Windows Phone 7 "Mango"-powered smartphone, the IS12T, in Japan. According to the Japanese operator, the new IS12T smartphone is produced by Fujitsu Toshiba Mobile Communications and will boast various features such as integration with Windows Live and various other social networking services, as well as sport a body that is said be compact, waterproof and dustproof all at once.
Fujitsu may be one of the more popular brands for notebook PCs here, and while their products usually span the entire gamut of possible hardware configurations ranging from entry-level machines to mainstream-grade notebooks, it does not change the fact that the company has never released a high-performance, gaming-grade notebook for sale in Singapore. That is all set to change though, now that Fujitsu has officially released its 17-inch Lifebook NH751 gaming and multimedia entertainment notebook for sale locally. But will it be able to perform well enough to handle the demands of today's 3D games and high-quality multimedia content?

Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific today launched their new STYLISTIC Q550 slate PC that is designed for business professionals. It is powered by 1.5GHz Intel Atom Z670 processor, runs Microsoft Windows 7 operating system and comes with an optional stylus pen for writing and drawing. The STYLISTIC Q550 is scheduled to be available next month.
Tablets may be the future of computing, but suffice to say the onscreen keyboard offered by all OS developers for use on such devices leave a lot to be desired where tactile feedback and ergonomics are concerned. What would we be without company roadmaps? Thanks to Fujitsu we now have the first confirmed customer roadmap featuring Intel’s upcoming Patsburg chipset for its LGA-2011 processors and that it’s destined for a Q4 launch this year, if anyone had any doubts about it. On the roadmap it’s listed as “Romley” which is Intel’s codename for several of its upcoming processors for the LGA-2011 and LGA-1356 platforms.
