HP seems to be in a rush to get AMD's upcoming Trinity APUs out in the market, as the company has already started to sell its new Pavilion G6 models in Taiwan sporting an AMD A6-4400M APU. This 15.6-inch notebook also comes with a discrete GPU and an attractive price point to boot.
Hewlett-Packard (HP) is to axe up to 30,000 jobs in efforts to make the company more competitive in the face of the rising might of the smartphone and tablet markets.

HP executive Steve Wolff responded to a question about the Envy Spectre XT laptop's uncanny similarity to the MacBook Air, saying that Apple does not own silver.
In addition to the Envy Spectre XT, HP also announced an additional four Envy notebooks, the 14 and 15.6-inch Envy Sleekbooks and the Envy Ultrabooks. The main difference is that the Ultrabooks will be Intel only, whereas the Sleekbooks will feature Intel and AMD processors, with the Sleekbooks having a lower starting price.
Apparently HP didn't get Microsoft or Intel's memos about screen on premium notebooks/Ultrabooks being increased, as its new Envy Spectre XT ticks pretty much every other check box when it comes to being a premium Ultrabook. HP's new addition to its Envy Spectre range is by all means a nice looking notebook and the company has even managed to reduce the weight by a fair amount compared to the original Envy Spectre, yet it's not quite there.
Today in Shanghai, technology giant HP has announced 30 new products designed for the business users which include EliteBook Folio 9470m Ultrabook, the durable EliteBook P-series notebook PCs, as well as desktop PC series consisting of Compaq Pro 4300 Business Desktop and All-in-One PC, Compaq Pro 6300 and Compaq Elite 8300.
With more Ultrabooks coming to the market, consumers may be confused between them and the thin and light notebooks. HP had unveiled the stylish ENVY 14 Spectre at CES this year, but is this portable machine as good as it looks? VR-Zone finds out.

What appears to be HP's first Windows 8 tablet has made an appearance in what is allegedly and internal HP presentation slide. It's only a render of what the device might look like, but it gives us a good idea as to what to expect from HP's first Windows 8 tablet, which will be using an x86 CPU as it's targeting businesses rather than consumers.
HP has put its new Pavilion dm4-3110tx on sale in China and although this in itself doesn't say much, the refreshed notebook model not only features Beats branding, but it also sports the just announced Intel Ivy Bridge processor.
