As promised at CES early last month, Microsoft has just launched Kinect for Windows in the form of the version 1.0 Software Development Kit and a new version of the Kinect hardware that's been tweaked to better suit close range operation at the desk.
Thanks to the Guinness Book of World Records we often get to hear about or see some pretty staggering events take place as people continue to be driven by the desire to achieve something never before been done that becomes recognized worldwide. A bunch of students from the Netherlands have added themselves to the list by building a "fully functional" NES controller that is in fact the largest video game controller in the world.

Today we are going to have a look at a different piece of equipment which Xebec Tech baptized simply “htpc”, a multi functional controller for media center PCs, gaming consoles and other devices.
Tt eSPORTS is a relatively newly found subsidiary company of Thermaltake, aiming to develop, manufacture and ultimately provide gamers with high quality gaming peripherals. The company currently has a long list of high performance keyboards, mice, headsets and other parts. Today we are having a close look on two of their more popular products, the Challenger Pro Gaming Keyboard and the Black Gaming Mouse.
The Razer Hydra PC Gaming Motion Sensing Controller, much like the recent deluge of alternative input gadgets like Microsoft’s Kinect and Sony’s PlayStation Move, allow for immersive three-dimensional interaction in rich in-game virtual environments. If you head over to the Asus website you'll notice that the company is currently running a competition where you can vote for the best software developed by a wide range of competitors for its Xtion Pro motion sensor (similar to Kinect for Xbox 360). However, the Xtion Pro is a very basic device, especially compared to Kinect, but it seems like Asus is getting ready to launch a more advanced model shortly, the Xtion Pro Live.

Chill Innovation is a company founded back in 1996 and originating from Denmark, focusing mostly on high quality power supplies and silent cooling solutions. Today however we are not going to review either a power supply or a cooling solution; Chill Innovation’s latest product is a versatile bluetooth micro-keyboard for multimedia applications, the KB-1BT.
Think that Windows is the only operating system that can make the best use out of sophisticated gaming keyboards, such as Razer's BlackWidow and Anansi? Well, think again: the American computer peripherals manufacturer has just announced the availability of both the aforementioned gaming keyboards in the standard Mac keyboard layout which it clsims are capable of "offering the same competitive edge for Mac gamers as their PC brethren".
Although Computex has been over for a good few days by now, we're continuing our coverage for the rest of this week, as we visited a lot of companies at the show and we simply didn't have time to write it all up there and then. Cooler Master had a lot of new products on display, as well as a couple of new chassis that we sadly weren't allowed to take any pictures off that are set to launch later this year.

ARM may dominate in the embedded systems market, but Intel is also extremely keen on competiting in that same segment as well. And the chip giant now has the silicon to do so: what was once a project codenamed as only as Tunnel Creek is now Intel's new Atom E600 SoC processor series, specially developed for embedded applications.
