Apple and Fujitsu to fight over 'iPad' Name

Just a day after Apple has announced their new iPad tablet, the maker is having some legal issues over the name with Fujitsu. Apparently, the Japanese manufacturer has designed a handheld product in 2002 with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and VoIP, called iPad.

Apple Launches iPad touchscreen tablet

Apple's CEO Steve Jobs took stage this morning and unveiled the new touchscreen multimedia tablet. No, its not the iSlate or iTablet, but its dubbed the iPad. The 9.7-inch tablet lets you surf the web, do emails, play photos, videos and music, games and even read e-books. From US$499, the iPad is simply a larger version of their iPhone as it is running iPhone OS.

(And yes, some folks have been making fun of its name using comparisons to the sanitary ones. You know who you are.)

Publisher leaks Apple tablet details

According to web sources, publisher McGraw-Hill was reportedly saying Apple will be unveiling their new Tablet at their event in San Francisco on 27th Jan (tomorrow morning Singapore time). It seems that the publisher has been working with Apple on a tablet for some time.

Windows Mobile 7 To Be Announced in MWC ?

According to Digitimes, we might be seeing a lil sneak on Windows Mobile 7 and also the launch date of the operating system itself.

While the source is pretty unconfirmed, they have mentioned that WinMo 7 will be available to Microsoft's handheld hardware partners in September 2010, allowing them to roll-out WM7-based devices in the fourth quarter 2010 or early first-quarter 2011.
