Apparently Panasonic doesn't think Intel's Ultrabooks are all that and although its new Let's note J10 is a fair bit chunkier than an Ultrabook at 35mm thickness, these 10.1-inch notebooks somehow manages to pack a 35W TDP Core i3, i5 or i7 CPU without burning up. What's even more impressive though is that they can delivery up to 12.5h battery life, a feat we'd like to see some Ultrabooks pull off.
Best known for its Toughbook range of notebooks in most of the world, Panasonic produces a range of more consumer friendly notebooks in its home country of Japan and the company has announced its first Ivy Bridge based model, the Let's note B11. We're used to seeing fairly compact models from Panasonic, so this high-end 15.6-inch laptop isn't the typical product we'd expect, but it does pack a lot of high-end features at least.
We all know that OLED technology is taking ages to become mainstream technology and it is still not there yet. However, Panasonic is investing up to $370 million (S$416M) to build the sixth generation pilot and 8.5 generation of OLED R&D manufacturing lines.
It is official. With the recent leaks about Panasonic's new Lumix GF series mirrorless camera, the company has announced today the Lumix GF5. The Lumix GF5 boasts a new sensor, higher ISO sensitivity, as well as features including a revamped GUI, improved LCD display time lag and auto angle detection with acceleration sensor.

Some of you might remember the days when Panasonic sold mobile phones outside of Japan, in fact, the company made some of the smallest, usable phones ever made shortly before pulling out of the global market. Panasonic has finally decided that it's time to get back into the global handset business again, but this time around we're talking smartphones and its upcoming Eluga handset bringing some of the Japanese tech to the rest of the world.

Panasonic has unveiled four new Lumix digital cameras for the photographer enthusiasts, which come in the form of ZS20, ZS15, TS4 and TS20. The Lumix ZS20 claims to be the slimmest compact camera with 20X optical zoom, while the Lumix TS4 comes with a barometer, an altimeter and full manual controls.
Panasonic Singapore has announced their new interchangeable lens system camera, the DMC-GX1, of the LUMIX G Micro System range. The GX1 features a 16-megapixel Live MOS sensor and boasts to capture clear and sharp images, even under low-lighting situations.
Panasonic's Toughbooks are known for their ruggedness that can withstand drops, extreme weather and other rough handling. And it seems like the company is also going the tablet way with the announcement of their new ToughPad FZ-A1, running on Android mobile operating system.

Panasonic has announced the availability of six new 3D Blu-ray recorders under the DIGA brand in Japan. The new recorders, which bear the model numbers BZT9000, BZT910. BZT810, BZT710, BWT510 and BRT210, will sport various unique features such as multi-show simultaneous recording and wireless connectivity, among many others.
One of the most frustrating things with 3D video is that there's no standard for the glasses, well, or at least there wasn't until now. Panasonic, Samsung, Sony and Xpand 3D have teamed up work on what's currently known as the "Full HD 3D Glasses Initiative" which is set to create a standard for 3D glasses. In fact, the four companies seem to be in a really hurry, as they're targeting to being work on the new standard itself next month, although products aren't expected until next year.
Superzoom bridge cameras which allow a user to excercise full manual control over their photo-taking are being squeezed out on both ends of the digital camera market by cheap entry-level DSLRs, high-end compact cameras and and new breed of mirrorless cameras which boast interchangeable lenses, right? Well, not if Panasonic has got anything to say about it; apparently, the market for such superzoom bridge cameras is still good enough for the Japanese electronics company to justify releasing a new model for this particular segment, and it comes in the form of its new LUMIX FZ47.
