It was only four years ago when Prolimatech was founded and the company initially offered only a single CPU cooler, the Megahalems. That single cooler however was good enough to make Prolimatech famous among enthusiast cycles and allow the company to establish a good foothold in the industry. Today we will examine and review something new and different from Prolimatech, the Lynx. The Lynx is not a massive cooler designed to win over hardcore enthusiasts but an entry-level cooler, primarily designed to compete against other basic products and replace the stock CPU coolers. The specifications of the Lynx however are very interesting considering this is meant to be compact, simple and cheap CPU cooler; we will soon see just how many surprises this product holds.

Prolimatech Rolls Out Genesis CPU-Cooler

Taipei based cooling specialist, Prolimatech, is preparing to showcase the Genesis - its latest high-end CPU cooler, at CeBIT 2011. Measuring 146 X 216.5 X 160mm and weighing 800g, the massive cooler boasts six 6mm heatpipes, two aluminum heatsinks, and supports up to three 140mm/ 120mm spinners. Its low height and two heatsinks allow "high clearance for better motherboard compatibility" and cooling for both MOSFET and RAM. The Genesis, compatible with all Intel LGA 775/ 1366/ 1156/ 1155 and AMD AM2/ 2+/ 3 processors, cost €59.90 and comes bundled with a tube of PK-1 thermal compound.
