For those of you that might have forgotten, Bigfoot networks was absorbed my Qualcomm Atheros some time back and the new company has been busy working on some new Killer NIC products. The company has now unveiled its latest addition, the Killer Wireless-N 1202 which seems to be a replacement for the older 1102 model.
There’s no secret that Singapore is home to many chip design companies and now Qualcomm is looking to the small nation to be a base for a new IC design and Engineering R&D centre. The office would focus on CDMA technology, or what is commonly known as 3G.
In some ways Qualcomm appears to be behind some of its competitors, especially with the delay of its first quad core processors, but its new MSM8960 SoC has proven that more cores aren't always the way forward, despite the market hype. Now the company has announced a "pro" version of the MSM8960, simply called the MSM8960 Pro.

Qualcomm's financial results for the fourth calendar quarter 2011 i.e. their first quarter in fiscal 2012 revealed a potentially problematic issue: the company is being investigated by the U.S. Attorney office and the Department of Justice.
A NenaMark 2 benchmark result has surfaced on one of Qualcomm's upcoming 28nm based Snapdragon SoCs well ahead of launch. Expected to arrive later this year, the 1.5GHz Qualcomm "MSM8960" SoC (codenamed Krait) was in an unidentified device with Qualcomm's Andreno 225 graphics, running a display resolution of 1024 x 600 which is typical of a 7-inch tablet device.

AT&T has completed its acquisition of wireless spectrum from Qualcomm in a deal worth roughly $1.9 billion.
We've already written about some of Qualcomm's upcoming products and now the company has officially announced at least some of those products. The company is readying a range of Snapdragon S4 and S1 processors for next year with the S4 models being based on its new Krait CPU core. VR-Zone has collected some specifications of the newly announced models alongside details of some not yet announced models to give you a better idea of what Qualcomm is working on.
Earlier this week Qualcomm hosted its Innovation Qualcomm event in Istanbul where the company unveiled details of some of its upcoming products, including a 2.5GHz next generation Snapdragon SoC.
