The XPG™ SX95 and S592 SATA II 2.5” SSD features new architecture and controller design, with onboard DRAM cache buffer. The XPG SX95 and S592 SATA II 2.5” SSD embedded with the latest firmware are shipping now through select distributors and resellers.
OCZ today released the Colossus 3.5” Solid State Drive (SSD) Series available in up to one terabyte configurations delivering excellent performance on internal RAID 0 architecture. The maximum read speed/write speed is 260MB/s while the Sustained write is at 220MB/s and Max IOPS at 14K. The Colossus SSD is available in other capacities such as 128GB, 256GB, 512GB. Prices range from USD6xx for 128GB to USD35xx for 1TB version for the US market. Expect prices to be higher for the Europe and Asia markets.
G.Skill has released its Falcon II SATA II 2.5” Solid State Drive (SSD) featuring the new Indilinx ECO controller with the latest 34nm NAND flash memory. The performance of the 64GB SSD is rated at 220/110MB/Sec (Read/Write), while the 128GB and 256GB SSDs are rated at an impressive 220/150MB/sec. In addition, the Falcon II will feature the latest Indilinx 1819 version firmware which offers improved support for the Windows 7 TRIM command.

OCZ Technology announced its collaboration with SandForce on OCZ’s next generation of mainstream and enterprise solid state drives (SSDs). OCZ’s impending solutions will feature various configurations of SandForce’s innovative SF-1500 and SF-1200 SSD Processors and multi-level cell (MLC) and single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash memory, all with the objective of providing best-in-class storage with exceptional performance, reliability, endurance, and power efficiency. The SandForce-based SSD line will be available in multiple interfaces including 3Gb/s SATA and 6Gb/s SAS in capacities ranging from 50GB to 400GB.
OCZ today unveiled the Z-Drive, a PCIe based bootable SSD for high performance and reliability enterprise solutions. With 8 PCI-E lanes and an internal four-way RAID 0 configuration, the Z-Drive is available in MLC and SLC models referred to consecutively as p84 and e84 in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities.
OCZ today unveiled the OCZ Agility EX Series featuring speeds, up to 255MB/s read and 195MB/s write speeds, 64MB of onboard cache, and performance optimization to keep the drives at peak performance. OCZ will initially release the Agility EX in a 60(64)GB solution with an MSRP of $399 and a 3-year warranty.
Corsair adds a 256GB addition to its high-performance Extreme Series SSD family built using the Indilinx Barefoot controller and Samsung MLC NAND flash memory. It offers read speeds of up to 240MB/s and write speeds of up to 170MB/s. It also features 64MB of cache memory.
Kingston unveils the SSDNow V+ with a sequential read speed of up to 220MB/sec and write speeds of up to 180MB/sec. The V+ is currently available in the United States in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities; the 64GB drive is available worldwide with increased capacities to come.
