Sony unveils its new VAIO lineup - VAIO X, VAIO L, VAIO CW, VAIO NW

Sony Singapore unveiled its new VAIO lineup earlier today. There are four models, namely the VAIO X series, VAIO L series, VAIO CW and VAIO NW.

In short, the VAIO X is Sony's thinnest and lightest VAIO. Targeted at mobile professionals, it weighs just 655g and has a 13.9mm thin, yet rigid chassis.

The VAIO L is Sony's first touch-screen All-in-one VAIO PC. Sporting a full HD 24-inch screen and a Blu-Ray drive, it's tempting to get one for your living room.

Son'ys VAIO CW and VAIO NW are their design-oriented notebooks. Equipped with the latest Intel Centrino 2 technology (Intel Core 2 Duo, PM45 Express chipset, WiFi 5100 wireless-N), fast DDR3 memory and a pretty juicy NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M GPU with 512MB video memory, the CW packs some muscle for gaming. While the NW is positioned as a desktop-replacement with its configuration of Intel's Core 2 Duo processors and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 GPU.

And yes, all these models will come with Microsoft Windows 7 pre-installed.

Read on for more information on each of the above-mentioned VAIO machines' (from trimmed down press releases).

The hack reportedly took advantage of modified save data files and restricted to user mode only – meaning changing the existing files on flash is impossible (no custom firmware flashing). For now, Freeplay has no plans to share the hack till he gets more help but at least we have concrete proof that the Go isn't homebrew-proof after all...definitely great news for PSP homebrew developers!
