This afternoon, Microsoft invited the local media to a product launch of their four latest hardware products - Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000, LifeCam Cinema, Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 and Wireless Mobile Mouse 5000.
Today, Samsung has a media event at their showroom, announcing seven digital cameras and three camcorders which include the ST550 and ST500 digital cameras with dual LCD touch-sensitive screens for picture taking.
The JVC Everio GZ-HM400 is the latest camcorder that is launched today in Japan which boasts a 10.3-megapixel CMOS sensor, 32GB storage, SD/SDHC card slot, HDMI output and 10x optical zoom. Not sure if the manufacturer will bring it to Singapore, but at press time, the GZ-HM400 will be available early next month at 110,000 yen (US$1,160).

Kodak has announced their latest ultracompact Zi8 camcorder that features a large 2.5-inch LCD, face tracking, image stabilization and boasts 1080p video recording. You can upload to YouTube and Facebook too. Comes in blue, red, and black, the Kodak Zi8 will be retailing in September at US$179.

Sony Singapore has unveiled their new HDR-CX520 Handycam Camcorder which can capture Full High-Definition (1920x1080) video and images of up to 12-megapixel resolution. Other features include 64GB internal memory, Advanced Optical SteadyShot (Active Mode) with 3-way Shake-Canceling, and advanced Smile Shutter with Face Touch function.
Panasonic has announced the world's lightest High Definition (HD) camcorders - HDC-SD10 and HDC-TM10. Both weighs approximately 227g though they do offer powerful 16x optical zoom and advanced features to capture stunning images.
